My Writing

I have experience writing for my school's news publication, The Inkblot, as well as serving as the editor for field2court.com, a sports media site, and writing freelance. In May 2022, I was named News Editor of The Inkblot, a role in which I edit stories, lay out pages and write if necessary. I have also been with the Star News Group, the publishing home of The Coast Star and The Ocean Star, for the last six months. I have written over 35 articles for Star News Group, covering a mixture of town happenings, council meetings and high school sports.

This article was written after the Monmouth County Vocational School District changed their policy to mask-optional. Click here to read it.

My photograph of the sophomores celebrating their Spirit Week victory on Thursday, April 14, 38 days after the MCVSD lifted their mask mandate. As you can see in the photo, some chose to keep their mask on and others took them off.

This article included an hour-long trip to northwestern New Jersey that, as a new driver, was absolutely terrifying. As Middletown North hockey stampeded through the NJSIAA Public Group B playoffs, I brought my camera to Mennen Sports Arena in Morristown, NJ to capture the excitement. I interviewed and profiled Luke Chrzan, their goalie and a student at Communications High School. You can read the article here.

"XFL: GUARDIANS WR PEARSON LOOKS TO THRIVE IN NEW LEAGUE" Field2Court, February 2020

This article was my first ever exclusive, with a WR in the now-defunct XFL football league. While it is lacking stylistically, and I would love to re-edit it, this is one of my favorite pieces. To me, it serves as a reminder that I had to start somewhere as well as a reminder of what hard work yields.
